Multiple ‘voices’ including emulation of industry standard speakers
The iLoud Precision monitors come with four ‘native’ precision voices:
- Analytic - absolutely linear response, no character and no color of any kind, truthful reality
- Comfort - gentle attenuation on the mid-high frequencies and added presence on the center of the spectrum provide a nice pleasant timbre perfect for hours of work without fatigue
- Wide dispersion - this voice extends the vertical dispersion of the monitors (or horizontal if the MTM is placed horizontally) to allow people in the studio that are standing to hear the same balance the sitting engineer is hearing, or if placed horizontally to allow a consistent balance across a large format mixing desk. This will still sound correct and balanced in a good sounding room, instead it could ‘trigger’ the unpleasing response of a non good sounding one.
- HF presence - gentle rise on the HF to help presence and definition and avoid mixing too bright when working at low volume on in too damping rooms
- In addition to the four precision ‘voices’ the iLoud Precision can ‘mimic’ industry standard studio monitors, so that the user can work with only one pair of speakers and be anyway able to switch among many
- The range of studio monitors included varies from entry levelto high end models
- It’s also possible to monitor with real-life speakers emulation like TV sets or smart speakers
Time and phase coherent
- The phase frequency response of the iLoud Precision studio monitors sits around the 0° mark from 150Hz up within +/-15°
- This delivers coherent sonic representation with the real audio event. Transients are totally defined, and the speaker sounds like a single element irradiating sound, not as two or three discrete speaker drivers
- The sonic balance of the program is spot on and the listening fatigue is dramatically lower
Extended low frequency response
- All three models can go down to 40Hz, no need for a sub in most cases
- Flat, correct, no “bump” LF response
- Low frequency reproduction is tight and solid thanks to the very minimal phase rotation in comparison with competitors
- “Full” position on the LF extension switch allows for subsonic information to be included in the reproduction to increase tightness by avoiding the severe phase rotation introduced by high pass filters
