Work we did

The long-awaited renovation of the Tallinn City Theatre was successfully completed at the end of 2024. Rock Distribution played a pivotal role by designing and supplying advanced stage machinery, seamlessly blending modern technology with the theatre's historic charm. The company is proud to have participated in the full project cycle - from detailed design using Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology to the production and installation of the stage systems. Throughout the delivery process, Rock Distribution collaborated with several leading system manufacturers to uphold the highest safety standards while developing an intuitive and user-friendly system tailored for the theatre’s technical staff. The entire installation was executed in strict compliance with EN 17206 UC5 and UC6 safety standards, ensuring that every component meets the highest safety and performance requirements. Furthermore, the system was inspected and certified by an independent certified specialist, guaranteeing optimal safety and long-term operational reliability. All project tasks were completed on time and within the agreed budget, with no additional costs incurred.

Equipment Installation Details

To support the theatre’s diverse and dynamic productions, Rock Distribution delivered and installed a range of state-of-the-art stage technologies across the venue's performance spaces. Every piece of equipment was installed with a strong focus on safety and durability, adhering to EN 17206 UC5 and UC6 standards and thoroughly inspected by an independent certified specialist to ensure safe and efficient operation. All installations were completed according to schedule and within the allocated budget, reflecting Rock Distribution's commitment to timely and cost-effective project execution.

Hell Hall

  • 5 Lighting bridges with ASM JR HD wire rope hoists (ELL = 1000 kg, speed = 0.1 m/s)
  • 11 Lighting bridges with AMG line shaft hoists (ELL = 400 kg, speed = 0.1 m/s)
  • 5 Fly bars with AMG line shaft hoists (ELL = 400 kg, speed = 0.1 m/s)
  • 23 Fly bars with ASM HCWA Twinmaster hoists (ELL = 400 kg, speed = 1.2 m/s)
  • 11 Chain hoists with ASM UNO (ELL = 500 kg, speed = 0.6 m/s)
  • 1 Revolving stage (diameter = 10 m) powered by an ASM drive system
  • Waagner Biro control system C.A.T 5
  • Power packs supplied by ASM, integrated with AXIO cards from Waagner Biro

Black Box Hall
