We started out in 2015 with an idea to build a piano-style sustain pedal for guitars and all melodic instruments, and over the years, Gamechanger Audio has become one of the most standout brands in the industry.
“It’s gonna be called PLUS, it's gonna look like a piano pedal and it’s gonna produce the same sustain / sostenuto effect but only for guitars and bass.”
The company was officially registered in Riga, Latvia in December 2016. Later, armed with two hand-built PLUS Pedal units, a YouTube video, and a crude WordPress website, the guys buy plane tickets to LA, in order to “crash” the 2017 Winter NAMM show.
Despite having minimal visibility at the show, zero media contacts and no industry experience, the PLUS Pedal quickly finds its way into the NAMM spotlight. MusicRadar and Anderton's TV are among the first to recognize the PLUS Pedal's potential. A huge wave of PLUS Pedal pre-orders started rolling in, including multiple world-famous musicians, who are still part of the GCA family to this day. The guys began to realize that this thing is about to get serious.
