Neumann Goosenecks and Omni Capsule for Neumann Miniature Clip Mic System MCM

In little more than a year, Neumann has succeeded in setting a new standard for close miking of instruments on stage. Now it is time to expand the MCM system, implement the learnings of hundreds of MCM applications, and bring its reference sound to even more scenarios.

Two new goosenecks SH 100 and SH 250 literally provide more flexibility. At 100 and 250 mm in length, these are ideal for particularly large or small instruments where the standard SH 150 gooseneck is too short or protrudes. For added convenience, the AC 31/32/34 cables will also be available in short 600 mm and extra-long 3000 mm versions. Also new is the KK 13 omnidirectional capsule* for a particularly open sound on quiet stages and in recording scenarios, where feedback and isolation need not be considered.

While providing a very open sound, the KK 13 omni capsule, like the standard KK 14 cardioid, features a wonderfully balanced frequency response, which ensures that both may be combined without any discontinuities in the sound image. Apart from their polar patterns, both capsules share the same outstanding quality. Due to their enormous dynamic range, they cover the entire spectrum from very soft nuances to the loudest fortissimo without audible noise or distortion.

The omni capsule and goosenecks will be available as separate items. Complete instrument sets continue to include the KK 14 cardioid capsule and standard-length gooseneck SH 150, except for MCM 114 Set High Strings, which will come with the new SH 100 gooseneck in the future.
