Martin Seidl, CEO of Austrian Audio, accepted the award for Austrian Audio’s critically-acclaimed Hi-X65 Professional Open-Back Over-Ear Headphones.
“I am very touched,” said Seidl. “We’ve been nominated before, and actually made finalist, but this is the first time we won this prestigious award. For a young company like Austrian Audio, this means a lot.”
The Hi-X65 are designed as professional monitoring headphones for mixing and mastering, but the open over-ear design and the high excursion driver ensure absolutely transparent sound. Sound engineers appreciate the accurate bass response and the open, precise, high-resolution sound that makes error detection easy and mixing and mastering a pleasure. The same qualities that make the Hi-X65 great for professional audio production also make it an outstanding headphone for audiophiles who enjoy hearing every nuance of their favorite music while enjoying the remarkable comfort and optimal fit.
The 37th annual TEC Awards took place at the NAMM Show on the night June 4, honoring achievements in technology, products and the use of those to create musical art.
