THE H200
The H200 is a versatile, closed-back headphone designed from the ground up to benefit from ADAM Audio’s 25 years’ experience in studio monitoring solutions. Patent-pending industrial design meets quality components to deliver uncompromising audio quality and functional utility.
Premium PEEK diaphragm drivers and well-damped acoustical earcups deliver exceptional sound quality, along with a comfortable fit and excellent sound isolation. Replaceable components and general robustness ensure a long life, whether in rough studio environments or out on the road, while a suite of accessories completes the package.
Beyond hardware, the H200 comes with the purpose-built ADAM Audio Headphone Utility DAW plug-in. This software offers a range of optimizations and the Externalization feature to better translate loudspeaker mixes to headphones. The plug-in is available to registered H200 customers as a free download in the MyADAM user area.
PEEK Performance Drivers
The 40 mm PEEK Performance Drivers offer a smooth and balanced 2 Hz – 23.5 kHz frequency response, 112.5 dB max. SPL, and low distortion. They are combined with a light-weight neodymium magnet system for crystal-clear sound and are tested during production and assembly to achieve a stereo-matched result.
What is PEEK and why does it matter?
In the world of diaphragms, light weight and stiffness are key. Without these qualities, a driver can be too heavy to be efficiently driven by the electrical signal coming via the voice coil and magnet. Alternatively, it can be too flexible which can result in muddy performance and distortion at certain frequencies.
Polyether Ether Ketone (also known as PEEK) is considered to be an excellent driver material for dynamic headphones due to its thermal characteristics which result in a lower “glassing point” (the point at which a material solidifies). This means it is more rigid and can retain its advantageous weight and stiffness properties in a wider range of applications, especially when pushed at higher temperatures where cheaper materials such as PET would start to deform.
Neodymium Magnet System
As with diaphragm construction, the choice of material for the magnets also has a tangible bearing on driver performance. Both in terms of weight and ability to efficiently transmit electrical signals into physical movements, Neodymium is the top choice for high quality headphone drivers.
Headphone Utility DAW Plugin
Built specifically for the H200 in collaboration with Sonnox, the ADAM Audio Headphone Utility plug-in is designed to sit on the master or monitoring channel of DAWs. It offers a range of optimization tools and the Externalization feature that employs advanced crossfeed techniques to better translate loudspeaker mixes to headphones.

Earpad Selector
The H200 ships with faux leather earpads, with a soft cloth option available as a separate accessory. As these materials have different acoustical properties, the Headphone Utility features two equalization curves so you can always enjoy a consistent, reliable output no matter which earpad you prefer to use.
Voicings
The Headphone Utility plug-in offers two voicings that ADAM Audio A Series and S Series customers may already be familiar with.
“Pure” is a highly accurate and neutral sounding option. This is the “flat” setting, ideal for mixing, mastering, and critical listening applications where you really must be aware of all the details and rely on an honest representation from your headphones.
“UNR” or “Uniform Natural Response™” is a dynamic, natural-sounding response curve of ADAM Audio’s own design, which stems from a variety of iconic ADAM Audio legacy products, including the AX Series. It lends itself to production, composition and songwriting as its engaging and present sound can give you more room for creativity and flow. It is also a great option whenever you want to use your headphones simply to enjoy some good music.
